2 iPad Safari Cookies Are Persistent & CANN...
Cleared Safari Data + Advanced Data Clear - used both Remove All and individually deleted - and NOTHING WORKS to clear off these 2 incredibly persistent data things - they DO NOT ACT like Cookies - HELP!
Hello RedRockBoy,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that you've been unable to remove website data from your iPhone. You've done great steps trying to get this resolved so far. I'm happy to help..
If you go to Settings > (your name)> tap iCloud and see if Safari is turned on. If it is, turn it off. If the issue persists, I recommend reinstalling iOS with iTunes. This can resolve possible software issues. When reinstalling, iTunes will remove your current software and install a fresh version. iTunes will try to do this without removing your data. I know iPhones can store a lot of valuable content, If you haven't backed up recently I suggest backing up before trying this step.
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Once you're content is backed up, follow the steps in the link below to reinstall iOS with iTunes.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Have a great day!
I have had the same problem since iOS 10.x was released. Safari is turned off in iCloud and certain cookies persist despite numerous attempts to delete through clearing all website data or manual removal under Advanced Settings.
I Have the same problem. Only started when I installed the new iOS. What is Apple doing about this!!! I reinstalled the system, but the very first time I used safari it did it again! You can't uninstall safari.
So we reinstall the OS every time we use safari?
have updated to newest iPad and iPhone OS - and there are still sticky cookies that CAN NOT be REMOVED even using the ADVANCED manual method...
THIS IS SIMPLY STUPID!
WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN FIXED?
I don't know who you are yelling at, but Apple is not here. So, as fellow users, we simply cannot answer your demand.

gee gail, uhhh i don't exactly know who i'm yelling at.
the community is on apple.com and suggests its raison d'etre is: "find answers, ask questions, and connect with our community of apple users from around the world".
so maybe something like that? i guess i was hoping that if enough users actually also find the point that we can not remove tracking cookies form our ios products that maybe someone in apple might actually put it on the let's consider fixing this one list?
but perhaps i'm just too optimistic here - sorry ... hope you like it better without caps... is that quiet enough ?
Being snarky is not productive. And we cannot tell you "why it has not been fixed", which was my point. How would we know? We don't have some inside line into the mind of Apple. If you want to provide feedback to Apple do so here: Apple - Feedback.
If you have a question that is actually one we could help with, rather than a rhetorical one, we can help. Otherwise, you are just wasting your time and ours.

Advertisers and junk dealers have staffs of people who figure out how to override Apple engineers
This applies to the multimillion dollar **** industry who believes every iphone or ioad is their personal launch pad
Good luck ttrying to get rid of it Even dickies has figured out how to override Apple Engineering
I wrote to their corporate offices and was told they would do nothing to remove their cookies
(flat out sorry its there forever)
Arent we lucky to be living in an age where the almighty dollar rules and not common manners

I regret that I reacted in a sarcastic way. Not Good!
I apologize.
...To be clear, although I've posted before in this forum, I was unaware of how this discussion group occurs for you and possibly a majority - come to think of it: which as I understand is that that Apple only creates this discussion group for Apple users to interact and effect users and that neither Apple, nor anyone from Apple actually watches it/ polls it, reacts, or takes into consideration the conversations, comments, memes or ideas that occur within it in any way.
The way it occurs for me is simply a little different from that perspective: For me, besides being a place to interact with other users and find answers that already exist, what I got (per this discussion's Tutorials ) is that Apple, if perhaps only through the means of an algorithm, pays attention to this discussion group through its categorization & suggestion offerings; and knowing that wherever there is an algorithm there's most likely a counting and reporting mechanism.
So the way this discussion group occurs for me is when I interact with this discussion group I may be directly interacting with other users to look for answers - however, at the same time I am also speaking to Apple (if a bit more indirectly).
So please understand, for that reason, I still do not regret re-stating my frustration "LOUDLY" in this forum about a bug that has to do with user privacy which has persisted over 3 iOS updates.
I think many could agree that there are correlations between Apple-Feedback / Bug postings (where I and perhaps others have made posts on this Bug), Apple representatives responsible evaluating and prioritizing Bug fixes and all available relevant databases to assist in that evaluation.
As such, I can not imagine that Apple would allow a Target Rich database like this one, which we create for it and which is full with concerned user's opinions, gripes and ideas to go to waste. But instead to be one of the data statistical storehouses it uses to understand how much bandwidth is being used across what intervals on what subjects to help them determine how to best prioritize bug fixes and to add and drop features.
And if that point of view is mostly correct - then it follows that through what is stated and repeated here in this discussion group by the many - together "we" (used inclusively) do in fact have some influence on an otherwise seemingly, un-listening Apple towards fixing something that's simply "broke"!
a boy can dream...
THX for your feedback!
regards, redrockboy
You can report issues, concerns, etc. to Apple by using this link: Feedback - iPad - Apple. Presumably, if they hear the same thing enough, they might take action.
There are a couple of long threads on this problem, see link: Safari iOS 10.3.1 not clearing Safari cache and link: Why can't I delete website data in iOS 10.3?. You might want to follow them.

No, Apple isn't reading here for suggestions or feedback. There is no counting and reporting mechanism for the content of posts. Sometimes, if an engineer has already been tasked to research a specific problem, they may search the forums and reach out to people.
If you want to give feedback that Apple will see, use this link:
https://www.apple.com/feedback
Or use the Contact Support link in the upper right of every page.
You might also want to look at this existing thread:
Why can't I delete website data in iOS 10.3?
Best of luck.
We share your frustration!
The problem of persistent cookies has persisted through several iOS updates now and is inexcusable.
Neither tracking nor persistent cookies should be permitted by any OS. We've tried each of the "tips" for removing them, but they have not worked for us. We have provided feedback to Apple multiple times about this, but there has been no change.
We recommend contacting both Apple and the companies involved protesting loudly. We are no longer buying any products or services from the companies who install persistent cookies.
It also seems that some browsers other than Safari are not affected.
in any event, if someone has a new and improved way of removing these cookies -- and, note, many are NOT zero in size , please post here!

Who else do you believe you're speaking for? Or is that the royal "we"?
