My ipod touch will not connect to the internet

My ipod touch will not connect to the internet and my older ipod will not connect to the itunes or app store.

Have you tried a hard reset? Press the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously, until the white Apple logo appears, and then let go. That often sorts out glitches in the hardware. I'm assuming that you've also reset your wifi to make sure there are no issues with that.
