CANON PIXMA 3600 series NOT AIR PRINTING

How do I print using WiFi to this Canon Printer? Using the Canon App, and the Photo Print I am given the option to choose paper and type. Photo prints perfectly. HOWEVER, when I go to print anything else, there is no option that I can see to choose paper size or type. The printer grabs the paper and it sounds like it is starting to print but spits out blank sheets of paper.

I've spent an hour on the phone with Canon and 30 minutes with Apple Support and no solution.

 

The printer prints from my laptop with no problem.
