iPad Apps not updating/downloading with iOS 10.3.3

My iPad apps haven't been updating, and I can no longer download new apps. I have an iPad Air. I updated my iPad to the current software (10.3.3), and no improvement.

 

I've done the manual reset, as well as gone into settings and reset my settings. Still no change. In addition, I'm confident wifi is not the issue, we just got a new wifi source this week, which also hasn't helped (have used Ipad on three different networks, all have good strength, none have made a difference).

 

What else can I try? I'd rather not erase everything and restart.



What error message (exact text) do you get when you attempt to download or update an app?



No error, it just spins and never starts the download.



That's a connection issue. Restart your device and router.

I wouldn't say so. I've restarted my device three times and am still having the same issue as the OP. To be fair I was having this issue before I updated to 10.3.3 too, and was hoping the update to 10.3.3 would resolve it. Currently I have 37 updates pending and they aren't even trying to download.

 

I feel like this is a problem with the iTunes store and not a connection issue.



Can you double-check if your Apple account has been locked?  I had exactly the same symptoms (a half dozen apps that wouldn't update, even if I tried to manually do so).  When I tried to go in to the Apple ID account settings on my iPhone it told me that my account was locked, and I don't recall any prior notification of that.

 

Once I unlocked the account, updates immediately began downloading.
