how can i wipe my hard drive if i am not able t...

So I have a older iMac. I bought I online and the guy didn’t wipe the hard drive or log out of his accounts. So I can’t create or log in to an account. All I want to do is wipe the hard drive so i can use it. How could I do that?

How old, see > Identify your iMac - Apple Support

Follow the instruction, at > What to do before you sell or give away your Mac - Apple Support

Tbh I have no clue. I’m not able to access the back panel where ram could be added in like other macs. It has about 6 inches of grey at the bottom that isn’t screen.

Send it back to him.

Besides doing that is there anything I can do to keep it. I just need to wipe the drive.

How old? Copy the serial number and paste it here for full specs https://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/

On the surface of your iMac

The serial number of your iMac is printed on its surface. To find it, shut down your iMac and unplug any connected cables so you can safely move it. Then gently lay the computer face-down on a soft, clean towel or cloth.

The serial number is on the underside of the base (or foot) of the iMac, along with a bar code and regulatory markings.
