Apple Watch Screen Discoloration

I was wearing my watch recently and noticed discoloration in the centre of the display that I can't attribute to anything.

In the first linked image you'll see that the Clock app has a pinkish hue and the Music app is white, but once I reposition the centre of the screen over the Music app the screen it has a pinkish hue. I wore the watch on a hike while it was moderately rainy, but I can't imagine that would cause this as I consciously covered it up. I didn't notice the discoloration until weeks later, so I think it is unrelated. Not sure what might have cause the discoloration so any advice would help!
