backing up ipad

I'm sure this is a dumb question. I have an iPad2. And have been away from home (and my iMac) for a long while now. I would like to be able to back up my iPad but am not sure how this would be possible away from my mac. I am using a public computer at the library today. Please advise on how I could go about this.
