MacBook Pro

Apple Communities Support is really as hosed up as the company is. (third world quality control)

I asked a question regarding the trackpad sensitivity issue with the MacBook Pro (don't have the same issue on my MacBook 12' Gold - had to replace a $700 board on that one, nearly a year old.)

Anyway, think I may have discovered a cure for the extraneous "trackpad inputs" - caused by friction, static electricity, errant touches, whatever that causes your action to be "NOT" what you were intending to do.  I found this solution on Google, the arch enemy of Apple Co.

On the trackpad, place right index finger on top right corner of trackpad. Place left index finger on left bottom corner of trackpad, simultaneously. Press the corners hard, you'll actually feel the depression click/pressure. Then switch corners (left, top left, right, bottom right).

Repeat this several times. It appears to work, not sure why, but it has to be a tolerance issue if this corrects the problem. Try it and let me know. I will give my MacBook Pro the full "Monty," once it's charged up. jn

You seem to be forgetting that Apple Support Communities consists of users like you. You're entitled to your opinion of course, but you didn't really improve the quality with your opening line.

I skipped the rest, thank you very much.
