Why is my iPad pixelated?

My iPad mini keeps pixelating and streaky. I asked a tech friend and she told me it might be water damage but I haven't dropped it in any water. So I was wondering if it could have been caused by the moisture in my bathroom from all the steam?? What would the cost be to fix it?? Would it cost more to repair than replace??

If you commonly shower with hot water, then yes, it could be steam that got inside, This can also happen if the iPad's been through some hard physical trauma, or perhaps a problem with the screen, I suggest you get it checked out with apple.
