Previous version of app

I use the Schlage Sense app on my Iphone 7 which was recently updated at the app store. Unfortunately, the update is useless and now I have lost contact with all of my Schlage locks.  I have the pre-August 15 app on an Iphone 6.  Is there a way to back up that app and restore it on the Iphone 7?   When I tried an Itunes backup of the Iphone 6, the Schlage app does not appear in the list of apps backed up.  I can see the Schlage app on the Itunes screen but the app is not in the list of apps that is on my Imac in Itunes.  Thanks.

You have to get in-touch with the app developer.

Apps are not part of a backup anymore since App Thinning was introduced.

If you have the previous app on computer iTunes, the updates will put the old app to the trash.

Did you look there?

I have no way to reach the developer working for Schlage.  iTunes for some reason does not back up or sync that app.  Is there a way to force iTunes to do that or to extract the app from the phone.  The app is not in the trash in the Imac.  Is there a way to look for the app in the trash of the iPhone?

1. I always download apps using my Mac.

2. Any updates will put the old app(s) to my trash. (There is no trash in an iPhone)

3. If the new update app is not working

a) Contact the developer, they are in-charge

b) Replace the app from the trash back to iTunes

c) Delete the app from device and sync the old app back from computer iTunes.
