Uninstalling applications on the Mac
Why doesn't Mac OS have any simple or smooth built-in uninstaller process to get ride of old or unneeded programs?
I'm aware that I can drop and drag applications to the Trash - but apparently this is a not a clean uninstall and can leave unwanted files behind in the system.
If it is an Apple program you can just trash it without concern, but if it is a 3rd party's program you should (if provided) use the uninstaller that came with it, or consult the manufacturer for instructions as to how their app can be uninstalled.
