How can I download photos from iPhone to iPad

I cannot figure out how to download photos from my iPhone or Mac to my iPad. Can anyone help?

From your Mac, one method is to sync them using iTunes. See the iTunes section of Keep your photos safely stored and up to date on all of your devices - Apple Support

Another method (from any of the devices) is to use iCloud Photo Library but be aware that will sync all of your photos. There is information in the above link and more details in iCloud Photo Library - Apple Support
