Problem erasing old Time Capsule

Trying to erase an old Time Capsule using ethernet connection to my old Powerbook G4.  But it seems to be interfering with my wireless network with the new Time Capsule and my MacBook Pro.  Any suggestions?

What operating system is installed on the G4?

If you are not sure, click on the Apple icon in the upper left corner of the G4's screen, then click on About this Mac and post back with the OS X Version number that you see there.

What version of AirPort Utility is installed on the G4?

If you are not sure, open Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility

Click on the AirPort Utility menu in the upper left corner of the screen

Click on About AirPort Utility and report on the version number that you see
