I’m honestly wondering if there’s something wrong with the software that monitors battery levels. My iPod levels have been all over the place since iOS11....I mean it will tell me that I”m at 16%, then zoom I’m at 82.. I know it can charge fast but not seconds fast.

If you have an apple store near by you may wish to make an appointment and have them check it out, even if it’s just to document that things happen.

It is also possible that the battery was not replaced correctly.
