Macbook with no lid

Wondering if there are any plans (take this as a product suggestion) to sell a Macbook with no screen/lid?  I don't expect to get an answer here, but I would much rather a Macbook with no built in screen than a Mac Mini.  First, I could more easily connect it to an Apple Display, and second, the screen would not be in the way and I could use the built in keyboard and track pad.  Apple, please consider this!  You might sell more of these than Mac minis!  I know there are web sites that tell you how to take the lid off, but I would prefer not to go that route.
