Dropped MacBook and now Touch Bar does not turn on

Hello all,

Last night I experience what I hoped to never experience. My 2016 13" MacBook Pro w/ Touch Bar slipped out of my hands and fell hard onto the tile floor (a couple more steps and I would have been on carpet ). The back corners of the case (closest to the Touch Bar) were banged up quite a bit but when I opened the MacBook everything else seemed to be okay... at least until I tried to use the Touch Bar. I went to adjust the volume and noticed that the Touch Bar was not lit up anymore. I tried restarting and booting into Windows as well but it has yet to come back on.

The Touch Bar itself shows no signs of damage (as in the screen is not cracked or anything like that). I also noticed that when I was booted into Windows on Boot Camp I could still touch where the F5 key normally was and it would refresh my browser page. Meaning that it is still somewhat functional.

Are there any log files that I can look at that might hint whether something just became loose when it hit the ground violently or whether the OLED display has been damaged? I know it's a long shot but I thought I would check here before taking it in for repair.

Unfortunately, when I bought it in December of 2016, Apple didn't offer AppleCare+, only the Apple Care Protection plan which is what I have but that doesn't cover accidental damage. I'm afraid at what the cost might be to repair this.

I have also reset my NVRAM and SMC but both of those did not fix my issue either.

Thanks for any help!
