I saved a document incorrectly in WORD and now I can't open it.

Not knowing what you mean by "incorrectly", I'm going to make a guess that you gave the file an wrong extension. In the older format, the extension should be .doc . For newer versions of Office, the default is .docx .

If your file has neither of these extensions, that would be why Word doesn't know what to do with it. Change the extension to .doc and see if it opens. If not, change it to .docx . One or the other should work.

Actually, I saved it using a semicolon in the date. 9:15   So now, it says I need permission to open it. Can you tell me how to solve that? Unfortunately, I saved 15 documents this way - not thinking!!
