I changed my Apple ID password on another devic...

Hello,

As stated above, I cannot login to my laptop using my Apple ID password anymore. Apparently it didn't recognize the change like I thought it would. It absolutely will not take my new password or the old one. Poor thinking on my end. Anyway, I spent hours on the phone with one of Apple's customer service reps (very nice by the way), and we ultimately decided to make a separate user with a normal computer password because we couldn't figure out how to bypass the Apple ID issue. In the mean time, I learned how to do some pretty rad computer tricks that give the impression that I know how to code! In all seriousness though, I am wondering whether or not I'll ever be able to use my Apple ID/Password as a means of logging in again. It's not a huge deal, but I would like to know. Any help/thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks in advance from a stressed out college student!

**I can login using the alternate user/password. My Apple ID won't work though (it'd be nice to have that option again). I'm just afraid to alter anything any further because I really can't afford to be locked out indefinitely again.
