My iPad won't turn on

My iPad mini won't turn on. When I try to charge it, it takes about half an hour to an hour for it to get to the apple logo. Then the screens stays on the apple logo screen until it dies again when I unplug it. I tried to recover it, but it didn't work. I'm not sure what other options I have.

My problem was solved by someone on reddit, hopefully it'll help anyone else with the same problem.

Since nobody seems to be answering, I posted this on reddit and got some replies...

First, expecting immediate answers on a user-to-user forum just is not going to happen. We are all volunteers who spend our own time trying to help others.

I would take it in to an Apple store for testing/diagnosis (free, repairs, if any, are not).

How down the power button and home button for 10 to 20 seconds  then let go and it should work
