MBP Mid

Hello,

A few days ago I installed the latest version of OSX (10.12.6) and my macbook's operating speed has suddenly became miserable. Before it was running smoothly most of the time as i have upgraded the RAM to 16GB and have added a strong SSD as a startup disk.

I have just installed a fresh version of the OS and restored my backup but the problem persists. I dont know what else to do and thats why i turned to the community for tips and how to get rid this very troubling issue.

Here are my EtreCheck results. Any help would be really appreciated!

I see you are running CleanMyMac3.

Get rid of CleanMyMac3. Totally unnecessary and will slow down your MacBook Pro. These are the uninstall instructions:  How to Uninstall CleanMyMac 3

Remove ClamXav antivirus. You don't need it.

See how to remove ClamXav https://www.clamxav.com/support/FAQs/

You should enabling Trim. Not being enabled will cause your hard drive to fill up with deleted files.

To enable TRIM, first save all your open documents as this will reboot your Mac.

1) launch Terminal.

2) Type "sudo trimforce enable".

3) Confirm that you want to enable trim.

4) Reboot your Mac.

To verify that TRIM is enabled, click the Apple icon in the top left of your screen. Choose "About this Mac" -> "System Report" -> "SATA/SATA Express" and look for the entry "Trim Support". It should say "yes" if trim has been enabled.

Hope this helps,

Kim
