older iOS app install

Hi,

I've got a favorite app.

For a long long time.

It's no longer on the App Store.

I've got the .ipa file. I own this app.

It won't load on my new iPad because...it's no longer on the App Store!

What can I do?

The new iPad had the same name as the old one.

After reading about Error 0xE8000065...

Changed the name.

Older app was loaded and working.

I think you are out of luck.

Are you using the same apple id on the new and old ipads.

I don't now about .ipa files.

If you have the .ipa file, I assume in iTunes, connect your iPhone to your computer, then select to sync the app to your device. This should work if the app is compatible with your current iOS version. iTunes has to be up to date, too.

This is not working.

The install freezes because the app is no longer in the store.

Good news!

You may want to worry about ios11.  ios 11 supports only 64bit applications.  You app could be 32bit which will not run on ios 11.  You may want to try ios 11 beta to see if you app will work.  With the beta, you can move  back to ios 10.  With the official version of ios 11 you cannot move back to ios 10.
