Monitor HP 25 es

When I use my MacBook Air con mirror mode to the HP monitor I don't see the "underscan or overscan" bar to adjust the size on the external monitor. Is this a problem with the mac driver for that monitor? Can I fix this? Because I can't resize the image without this bar.
