If I (manually) sync a song to device...?

Simple but complex iTunes music/song/playlist/sync question.

My real-world situation:

I have 10K+ songs, If I were to only select to sync (check) ONLY say the "4+ Starts", will there suddenly be dozens of playlist on my device.

Example:

Let's say I have many songs, organized neatly on iTunes.

Some are included on (smart) playlists:

Album X is in:

Artist's Playlist

4+ Stars/Heart

Last 100 Played

If I manually select (for this example) ONLY 1 song from Album X, I know my idevice will display the album artwork if browsing by albums.

BUT

If I browse by Playlist, will these 3 playlist be added to the device with just the 1 song in each?

I.E. all the playlist in which each song appears?

I would like it to be like this, in case it's not, can I achieve it somehow without having to manually check each playlist I want?
