Do HomeKit devices need to be on the same netwo...
My home network is an Orbi with two Orbi Satellites. Orbi does not separate the 5 GHz channel from the 2.4 GHz channel, so my iDevice Outdoor Switch won't work on the Orbi network (it only works on a 2.4 GHz network). So, what I did was to turn on the WiFi on my Xfinity router and have my outdoor switch connected to that 2.4 GHz network.
I am using my iPad as a Home Hub. It's not working, even when I have it connected to the same WiFi network as my outdoor switch. I'm running iOS 11 Public Beta, so it could be a bug. But, I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this. Just want to make sure that it should work the way I have it set up.
Thanks, Greg
