Preview, Safari, System Preferences, and Automa...

I recently typed the wrong URL into my browser (i.e., "reports" instead of "report").  It sent me to a website squatting next to the correct site and said I needed to update some apps in order to use the site.  It partially installed MacKeeper and MegaBackup before I could stop it.  I have uninstalled those apps but now I find that the Preview, Safari, System Preferences, Automator, ColorSynch, and Disk Utility apps have barred circles through them in my Apps Folder.  When I try to open them, I get a message:

"You can’t use this version of the application “System Preferences.app” with this version of macOS."

If I try to open Safari Preferences, I get Norton Security extension control panel.

How can I get rid of this nonsense?

Try running this program in your normal account, then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. On the screen with Options, please open Options and check the bottom 2 boxes before running. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown.
