How to determine which songs have been played o...

How can I determine which songs installed on my Gen 5 Nano have already been played? I've done this before, got a list of all songs installed with indicator of number of times played. Haven't used the iPod for quite a while and have forgotten how to do this. May have involved using my PC to review.

I posted this question before, but the answer that was forthcoming didn't help. I don't use SYNC. I want to know which songs on my iPod have been played, not which songs in the Library have been played. I want to know this so I can delete the played songs from the iPod so I don't repeat them.
