Copy and Paste Mac Adding Spaces

I found the answer to fixing this issue in Safari, but I want to fix it everywhere. I mainly use Chrome, and when I copy something such as "1234" it comes out " 1234", which is super annoying and not a feature I'm a fan of, as I have to go and manually edit it every time. I tried looking in System Preferences, and couldn't see it. Is there somewhere within Preferences that I'm missing?

Using macOS Sierra, Version 10.12.6. Won't let me change that in the message itself.
