If you did not create your Apple ID without a credit card, then it is difficult. Is this the first purchase you made in the app store with that Apple ID? You can check this to see if you can change your payment method to NONE, but if you cannot. see the second link, which explains why you may not change it.

If you can't choose None when you edit your Apple ID payment information - Apple Support

You need a verified payment method to make use of iTunes and App Store services including downloading free apps and updating apps.

If your payment method has not been verified, or was unable to be charged for whatever reason at any point, you will need to resolve that before you can continue to use the store services.

Once the payment method is verified, it can be removed by setting it to none.
