How do I update my iMac running OS 10.6.8 to th...

I haven't updated my iMac running OD 10.6.8 and Sierra requires at least 10.7 something.  I don't see Yosemite, Snow Leopard, etc available from Apple.  I think I have enough memory and processing ability in my iMac from early 2009 but I don't see how to upload an intermediate OS so I can end up with Sierra.  Any suggestions?

if you are running an early 2009 iMac your system will not support Sierra.

Your point is moot. A Early 2009 iMac cant run Sierra which answers the title of the post.
