MacBook Pro 2017, battery and power supply

Hello all!

That is my first post.

The title says everything.

I own a MacBook Pro 13 2017 and wonder, how to handle the battery, when the Notebook is plugged to the power supply and I work from home?

I want to keep a good battery, so can I turn battery off or something like this?

What would you suggest me?

Best regards!

Hi,

Here are a few tips for you:

1. Turn off bluetooth.

2. Dim your screen.

3. Tweak energy saver preferences.

4. Turn off backlit keyboard.

5. Enable private browsing.

6. Turn off spotlight indexing.

7. Choose automatic graphic switching.

8. Eject any optical disks if you are not using them.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for this helpful reply!

I just managed some of the hints, you gave me.

So when I work from home I simply let my notebook on the power supply?

The battery can't be harmed, when it is always on 100% power due to the power supply?

You don’t have to leave it hooked up to power, it’s designed to be a mobile device. Focus on those pointers I gave you and charge your device as needed.  :-)
