Effectiveness of Sharing preferences on hacking

Does unchecking "Remote Login," and "Remote Management" in System Preferences: Sharing prevent hackers  from remotely accessing and controlling my iMac?

it will prevent them from using that means, but if they make you run any program on your computer it will give that program your user rights and if it request elevated rights such as admin rights and you type in the password it (the program) will have total control

at the end of the day it needs you! to let it
