stream family share content on iphone

I am unable to stream (not download) movies purchased on itunes on other phones in my family share group. The family is setup fine and I can download family purchases through the itunes store app, but I want to be able to stream them. I am able to stream them from the original purchaser account, just not family accounts. It seems like this should be pretty simple.
