Problem syncing contacts and calendar from iPho...

My phone won't sync contacts / calendar with my Mac, but the other way around works without problem. Both devices are signed in with the same Apple ID, and iCloud settings on both devices are toggled to "on" for contacts and calendar.  How to fix this? My Mac is not showing up in the list of devices on iCloud, could it be that my phone doesn't "see" my Mac to sync with it? Please help.

I really can't answer your questions since I don't know how important the Outlook contacts are. I can't find a way to do an automated add to all accounts. It is a workaround, but you can just turn off Outlook contacts whenever you want to add to iCloud.

Try Settings/Your Name/iCloud and slide off syncing. Wait a few minutes and then resync.

Have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?

In Settings/My Name/iCloud, I do not have the possibility to choose "sync".  There's a list of Apps using iCloud, and most of them are toggled to "on".  I have tried turning them off, wait 10 min, and the back on, nothing changed. I have tried signing out of iCloud then back in several times, no use. In Settings/My Name, my Mac doesn't show up as a device signed in with my Apple ID, although it is.  Could this be the problem? 

What do you see in Find My Phone? Does it show as signed in there?

Not sure what you mean.  In Settings/My Name/iCloud, Find My iPhone is toggled to on, although on my Mac Find my Mac was not.  I activated that, signed out of iCloud on both devices and back in, no change.  Contacts/calendar are still not sync, and my Mac still does not show up in Settings/My Name.

Try using the Find My Phone app to see if the Mac is there.

Yes the Mac is there in the Find My Phone App.  Meanwhile I discovered actually the calendar is syncing both ways from phone to Mac and the other way around.  But the Contacts are still not.  What else can I try?

Try going to iCloud.com using a computer to see if the items are there and whether they are from the device or the computer. That should show whether the device or the computer isn't syncing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing. If the device, go to Settings/Your Name/iCloud and do the above. You can also try signing out of iCloud and then sign in again.

The problem is the phone.  I discovered that if I try to edit an existing contact which is also on my Mac, it is syncing because it is on iCloud.  However, if I'd add a new contact on my iPhone, it doesn't show up on my Mac because it is not on iCloud (it also doesn't show up in iCloud.com).  On my Contact page, I do not have the option to define which contacts should be on iCloud and which not (I want them all to be).  How do I load all contacts on iCloud?  And how do I make the contact automatically loaded on iCloud whenever I add someone new on my iPhone?  I have tried multiple times signing in and out of iCloud, shutting down phone.  Only those contacts existing on both devices would sync.  adding contacts on Mac would sync, but adding on my phone won't.

Try going to Settings/Contacts/Accounts and see if you have an account other than iCloud. If you do, tap the account and turn off Contacts. Then test to see if a new contact is added to iCloud.

Oh that was it!  Now the question is should I never let the outlook contacts syncs, can I do an automated add to all accounts?  Shall the outlook account remain off on contact?

Having the same issue and I do not have any other contact sync on for any other accounts.  Any other ideas?
