Inactive iMessage/FaceTime

I have been unable to use my iMessage on my macbook after a recent update. I unfortunately typed the wrong password and now I have used the "forgot password" prompt to change my password but it is still inactive, same goes for my FaceTime. This is really frustrating and I will appreciate any quick response and assistance.

It sounds like you've forgottent the password for your Apple ID and can't access Messages or FaceTime until it is updated.  The resource below explains how to reset your password, and contains a link to Apple ID Account security if you need help with it.

I was working very well before the update. I was prompted to input password after the update which i entered wrongly, however, I have changed it using my other device but still unable to access it on my macbook. Both applications are working on my iPhone.

I will require assistance in getting this resolved.
