"This computer is being monitored" Red dot

I'll just cut to the point. There is this red circle outlined by white on my menu bar, when I click on it all it says is "This computer is being monitored".

This computer isn't a buisness computer.

Is this something I should be worried about?

Did I do something wrong?

It does sound odd. Maybe post a partial screen shot of what you are referring to (<Control>, <Shift> and <4> to select a small area on the screen). Include no personal information in the screen shot. A picture can be worth a 1000 words.

Okay, now its just getting more weird, the dot vanished and as such i can't take a screenshot. Im not even sure whats happening at this point but its gonna give me a heart attack.

I can tend towards a little paranoid at times and that would have me wondering too. Just keep an eye on it (I'd find it hard not to) and if / when it shows up again post the screen shot back here, or start a new thread if you can't find this one.

Forgot to mention, already have firewall on and the sharing things unchecked
