How to disable shuffle mode in iTunes 12.5?

Since I updated to ElCapitan iTunes play ALL my ablums in shuffle mode. No change when I klich the shuffle symbol in the toolbar. Can anyone help?

I have the same problem. When I want to listen to the songs of one of my Apple Music albums iTunes won't play the songs after one each other. It switches between different songs and albums although I turned shuffle mode.

I use macOS Sierra and the latest version of iTunes.

This is really getting on my nerves.

The List with the "next playing title" is always full of songs I haven't put in there. This might be the problem, why iTunes is always switching to these songs instead of playing the whole album.

I hope there's someone out there to help me or fix this problem because everything works fin in iOS with playing albums. Why not in iTunes on my mac too?!?!?!?

I'm getting the same problem, and it's driving nuts. I turned off shuffle for songs and albums, but it still refuses to play more than one song from an album before jumping to some completely unrelated album. This is maddening and completely unacceptable. It's iTunes, for God's sake; if it can't even play songs in order, what's the point? It's like a bicycle without wheels.

Here is the solution Drove me nuts too, but finally found the solution. At the very top-center of iTunes is the box showing the current song playing. To the left of the song title is the shuffle icon and to the right is the repeat icon. (De)select the one you want.   problem solved.

Yup, this is the answer.  Drove me nuts as well and a Google search didn't turn up the answer as quickly as I had hoped!  Also, I'm currently running iTunes 12.5.5.5.

On the iPhone goto the song playing...where you see only the song playing with the play (>) arrow and the other 2 double arrows for reverse (<<) and forward (>>).

2. swipe up with 1 finger and the option to enable or disable shuffle appears.
