My iPad won't restart and it tells me to conect...

My iPad is not responding and it tells me to conect it to iTunes, but when I conect it to iTunes it tells me that the software is downloading but then there's an error, or it tells me that the power cord has to much energy and to disconnect. 

Is my iPad broken? Or those it have a solution? 

something has happened software wise and it wants to be onnected to a computer running iTunes to be fixed. Just do it. You're pretty much stuck with a non-functional device until you do.
