How do I delete "Pending Available Downloads" f...

How do I delete "Pending Available Downloads" from the list permanently?  I got a full season of a TV show, and all the HD versions won't go away!

You cannot.

You would have to download them then delete them.

You can try contacting itunes supoprt and aksing them to delete them.

Hi. I googled How to Delete Pending Downloads in iTunes and I found this info on answers.com. It worked for me. I had 35 pending downloads and every time I tried to delete them, they reappear every time I open iTunes and automatically start downloading to my pc. So annoying! Good luck...

On PC, go to /Users/yourUserName/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads/

Delete any folder for the download you want to remove

Delete the file list.plist

When you next start iTunes or update apps the unwanted download will not start

If you interrupt a download in the future a new list.plist will be created containing the interrupted download and the original unwanted download

On Macs, there is no such file the Downloads folder. What's worse, the downloads re-appear!

So that does not work on Macs — there must be another place where iTunes for Mac stores this info.

UprightBass: Check the folder you use to store your iTunes library. There should be a "Downloads" folder within it. For instance, my iTunes storage is on an external disk, and the top level folder is called "iTunes", and it contains the following (all folders):

Automatically Add to iTunes.localized

Books

Downloads

Mobile Applications

Movies

Music

Podcasts

TV Shows

iTunes U

Hope this helps

The Downloads folder is only present if you have downloads or partial downloads.  You can safely delete this whole folder and it will reappear next time you download.

The Download folder is on my MacBook Pro Retina with 1T hard disk. However, I can only see it when iTunes is opened and I go to Preferences, then Advanced Preferences and then hit the Change iTunes Media folder location button. The contents of the Download folder will be revealed in a new Window. But I see no way to delete that Download folder, especially now that there is no right click to try out on a mouse with the MacBook Pro Retina.
