Unable to update Mac OS X
I have a 2010 MacBook Pro with Mac OS X version 10.6.8, when installing new software I always get prompted that I need a later version of Mac OS X yet when I check for updates it says I have none... please help?!
There are no updates for Snow Leopard - 10.6.8 is as high as it went. You may be able to upgrade to a higher system. In order to find out how high you can go we need to know exactly what Mac you are using. Open Applications/Utilities/System Information and and under 'Hardware Overciew' (the first page to open) and quote the second line, the 'Model Identifier'.
