Imported Google Calendar ICS not showing.

I'm trying to switch from Google Calendars to iCloud Calendars. I've exported the whole calendar .ics file from calendar.google.com. When I open MacOS Calendar and import the individual ics files, the import bar goes to completion and finishes, but the calendars never show up on my Calendars app (and they are not in the calendar list on the left sided bar). I've disabled Google Calendar sync. I've tried disabling all calendar sync or just enabling iCloud calendar sync. Nothing works. I tried it both on my iMac and my Macbook, with the same results. Is there any way I can move my calendars from Google over to iCloud?

After the import, did you quit/reopen Calendar? See if the article below has any suggestions you haven't tried.

Yup, I followed those exact steps, and yes, I quit/reopened the MacOS Calendar app. I tried it on my iMac and Macbook (both fully updated to Sierra). No bueno unfortunately.
