Python and CPU activity

On iStat Pro I see that the CPU is active between 16-28% eve though I don't use any application. The temperature of the CPU is 79 C. What consumes most of the CPU is "Python". The battary drains quite fast, even when the computer is on sleep mode. How can I get rid of "Python"????

Open Activity Monitor in your Utilities folder and list the processes by name. You should be able to kill the process from there. Python is a sort of programming utility but it's small and shouldn't be taking up too much CPU time. If you don't use it, you should just be able to kill it (I thought that it was only available in terminal, but I could be wrong).

I tried to do that through Activity Monitor but it was not possible to kill the process. It continues to consume the CPU and heat the computer

Restart the computer, being sure to opt NOT to reload applications on restart. If Python is running immediately after the restart and before you manually open any other application, it is being loaded automatically, either as a standalone startup item or as a process that is invoked by some other startup item.

When I turn Wi-Fi Off, Python does not run on Activity Monitor. However, when I turn Wi-Fi On Python runs and continues to consume most of the CPU.

Have you tried what I suggested? What did you learn?

Restart your computer holding down the Shift key. Does Python load now when you invoke wifi?

This is a curious problem as I don't know how to run Python except through Terminal - and even then it doesn't use much CPU time at all.

that depends:

If another user installed python, you can remove it

If an aplication installed python, you can remove it too, but the aplication should stop working

If python is pre-installed like Linux, isn't recommended to remove
