Activating and deactivating Photos in iCloud en...

Hi,

During holidays we took about 1400 photos. In order to backup them we activated Photos in iCloud and upgraded to 50GB storage.

Due to a poor wifi, after a couple days no photos were uploaded at all, so in the iCloud website there were none.

I decided to copy all the photos to my Mac, so I connected the iPhone... but it only recognized 300 aprox. I supposed it could be related to iCloud, so I decided to deactivate it.

It was a huge mistake. In that moment, 1100 photos were deleted from the iPhone. And they were not yet uploaded to iCloud.

I had deactivated iCloud iPhone backup to save space but I had a local backup in my Mac. When I connected the iPhone to the Mac to restore the backup it automatically made a new backup deleting the old one, so I lost the 'good' backup. Even with Time Machine i was impossible to recover the old backup, it said it was corrupt after restoring.

How can it be possible that the photos ended deleted before being uploaded to iCloud? Do you know of some way they could be recovered?

Have you checked if they may be in the deleted folder at icloud.com?  If not, you might have to consider using recovery software to attempt recovering them.
