Solution for iMAC crashing on its own, really w...

Hi there .... hope this will help you guys ..

So I spent the past year tearing my hair out with my iMac shutting down on its own randomly - could be after 5 minutes, or 6 hours - and I mean all day every day ... I tried everything.. literally ruining my day to day ..

Then yesterday my Microsoft Word wouldn't open at all, and to boot kept causing my mac to crash even MORE than ever, pushing my stress levels through the roof aaargh !  On researching how to solve my Word problem, I read somewhere it could be down to a corrupt font, so I deleted a ton of fonts and....bingo Word worked immediately, and then the "penny dropped", that my iMac was no longer shutting down (a year of stress fixed in half an hour).

To think I had asked advice from so many techie / professional people re the problem and no-one EVER mentioned a corrupt font could be the problem!!!

So I wanted to share this, and PLEASE let me know if it works for you, I hope I have made someone's day and only wish someone had been thoughtful enough to tell me sooner.

It breaks my heart that I was this close to buying a brand new Mac or considered changing parts for a small fortune, and it really was just a tiny problem. Other people have sworn to have THE solution for this problem and I have always been disappointed, so please let me know if it worked for you, as it will really make my day to help someone!
