can I view the files in iCloud drive as a list ...

When I am at https://www.icloud.com/ the files stored there show up as icons with names underneath. That uses far too much screen space - is there a way to change this to a list view?

I agree - seems that Apple could give us a little flexibility, like the view options we have in the Finder in OS 10.

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem or a suggestion for change. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem/suggested change solved sooner.

List view can be accessed by scrolling all the way to the top to reveal the sorting options, and tapping on the list icon on the top right.

I actually checked that - but with my MBP running MacOS 10.12.2  - I am not seeing it

Oops, missed the fact that this is on icloud.com on a Mac, rather than the iCloud drive app on an iPad or iPhone.

I guess if you use the iCloud Drive folder in Finder on a Mac you can set its view just like any other folder.

As you say, the iCloud Drive ap on the iPad or iPhone works fine, but if you go to your iCloud account via your Mac browser, the option is not available. Though you can do it from the Finder, I prefer to use my iCloud account as it gives me access to all of the iCloud features in one place. Hope Apple fixes this.

Agree.  The icon view is TERRIBLE.  A list view is essential to make Drive a day-to-day tool.  File names become too long and navigation is a problem.

yeah but unless you are on icloud drive you can't cut paste or move files

like any post 1990 OS would let you do
