How to edit draft email in Mail set to classic ...

I prefer to use Mail's old classic layout, but can't edit Draft messages, other than copying the text into a new message.  I know it's possible with the new layout... but hope there's a way to do it without shifting to it.

How can edit Drafts in classic layout??
