New iPhone 7plus causing iTunes to not open

Good morning. I recently just purchased an iPhone 7+ and went to sync my music up to iTunes on my Windows 10 PC. I did the required updates on my computer to get the latest version of iTunes and I am running ios 11 on my phone. Everything seemed to be working okay until I went to Sync my music in which I then received an Error and iTunes froze. I was able to close it successfully via the tab on the start menu screen.  When I went to try and reopen iTunes I get the acknowledgement that I clicked on it (Spinning Blue Wheel) however iTunes does not open. I went in to the Task Manager and cleared all the attempts and tried again. When I click on iTunes the first to pop up is iTunes then iPod Services. However nothing shows up on my monitor.

Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Belay my Last, I was able to correct the problem. First I restarted my computer which allowed iTunes to open up. Secondly I had forgotten that my iTunes account is under a @gmail.com and not an @icloud account. Under settings I changed my account and signed back in under the @gmail account and now everything is working correctly.
