Ok-maybe I can help you-maybe not. If you reboot holding down the option key does that help you? It should show all potentially bootable drives. Failing that,start up from the recovery partition( command+ r keys held down together on reboot)

And go to the middle of the screen to OS X tools.run disk utility. I hope you did a backup before this, if that doesn’t work,you may have to make an appointment and take it in to your local Mac place, oh and make sure the startup drive is the internal one,after running OS X tools. Other than that, maybe drive rescue?? Hopefully the previous steps help you , but you have nothing to lose by making an appointment- which is free- we don’t know anything more about your Mac other than you have a problem with it- if we had a model number, or any other info, we might be able to help you better

If you are not sure, then you will need to take your iMac in for Service.
