Mouse causes file to enlarge

When moving curser sometimes if I pick up my mouse and put it down too hard it causes my file to enlarge and I can not make it go back to normal size.

You may be activating "Smart Zoom". Go to System Preferences > Mouse > Point & Click and uncheck mark "Smart Zoom".

When you say "file to enlarge" do you mean that display of the file zoom in to a larger display of the data?

For the life of me I can't figure out why Apple calls it Smart Zoom. It is the dumbest thing ever and serve no useful purpose as far I can see. It never seems to work as advertised at least for me.

At one point every new gizmo was called "Smart", no matter how dumb.
