MacOS 10.12.6 does not mount a usb external drive
I upgraded to MacOS 10.12.6 on a late 2009 iMac but now it will not mount my usb external hard drive. That drive contains TimeMachine backups and other data. Neither Disk Utility nor System Report consistently recognizes the drive is connected.
