iclouddrive

For 2 days now I have installed icloud drive on my office PC to keep it synchronized with my macbook.

Now I recognize that the (new) ssd is already 80% filled and the reason is that the folder

c:\Users\rudol\AppData\Local\Apple Inc\iCloudDrive\Staging\ is filled with several GB of data.

Every 5-10min about 150MB are added (looks a bit like my databases). The Macbook does not have this problem.

The 2 folders which I sync with my Macbook  only have about 2GB of contents and in the staging folder meanwhile are thousands of  bin files.

If I don't have a solution by tomorrow my PC harddisk will be full so I would have to remove icloud drive.

I found the same problem on my home PC - out of the 916gb of space used on my windows PC, 706gb was taken up in the users\dave\appdata\local\apple inc\iclouddrive\staging folder. I disabled icloud drive and after several minutes my hard drive had over 700gb of free space again. I am going to uninstall and reinstall the icloud app and see if it happens again.
